Consistently reading the Bible can be challenging for most of us, not only for those who may be new to doing regular devotions. Many of us are unsure of how to approach devotions and then just feel guilty because “devotions are what Christians are supposed to do” and we can’t figure out how to do it.

Parables are short stories with hidden layers of meaning. Jesus often borrows a phrase from the Old Testament when telling these stories: “whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”  Sometimes the messages are clear, but other times the stories appear confusing and even out of place. After the death and resurrection of Jesus, there are no more parables! The gospel changes everything, including the way we read and understand these stories. Uncover good news with us this summer through the parables of Jesus.
