In Hebrews 9:15, we learn that Jesus’ death actually accomplishes a payment or redemption to “buy us back”. What real difference does it make that Jesus paid our debt, or was a ransom payment? To who or what did this ransom payment go? How does this fit with the whole storyline of Scripture?
