What does it mean that “God desires mercy, not sacrifice”? This phrase is used by Hosea and later by Jesus to rebuff religious people (that look a lot like us!). But how can it be that God spurns these sacrifices, especially since he instituted them? And why is it that mercy is so much better? That’s what we’re excited to explore this week!
