Psalm 103:1-12

Of David.

Praise the Lord, my soul,

all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Praise the Lord, my soul,

and forget not all his benefits –

who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,

slow to anger, abounding in love.

He will not always accuse,

nor will he harbor his anger forever;

he does not treat us as our sins deserve

nor repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,

so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 103 – Paul Zach

Bless the Lord, O my soul

All that is within me bless His name

He forgives all our sin

He is slow to anger, full of grace

As high as the heavens are up above, so is the greatness of His love

As far as the east is from the west, He removes our sins from us

As far as the east is from the west; as far as the east is from the west

For the Lord knows our frame

Short our days, from dust to dust they fade

But His love will remain

Merciful to those who fear His name

The steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting!

Revelation 4:8-11

Day and night they never stop saying:
“Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord God Almighty,

who was, and is, and is to come.”

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power,

for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Rock of Ages – Jennie Lee Riddle

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, holy, holy is He

Sing a new song to Him who sits on heaven’s mercy seat

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, holy, holy is He

Sing a new song to Him who sits on heaven’s mercy seat

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, God Almighty, who was and is and is to come

With all creation I sing praise to the King of Kings

You are my everything and I will adore You, I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows of living color

Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder

Blessing and honor, strength and glory

And power be to You the only wise King, yeah

Filled with wonder, awestruck wonder

At the mention of Your name

Jesus, Your name is power, breath and living water

Such a marvelous mystery

Accept, O Lord

Accept, O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that you have done for us. We thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love. We thank you for the blessing of family and friends, and for the loving care  which surrounds us on every side. We thank you for setting us at tasks which demand our best efforts, and for leading us to accomplishments which satisfy and delight us.

We thank you also for those disappointments and failures that lead us to acknowledge our dependence on you alone. Above all, we thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of his Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame temptation; for his dying, through which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom. Grant us the gift of your Spirit, that we may know him and make him known; and through him, at all times and in all places, may give thanks to you in all things.  Amen.
